Dana Klitzberg has been traveling, cooking, and writing for decades. The travel bug bit her while she was in high school, with the excitement of her first trip overseas to Paris and Israel. She studied abroad in Florence, Italy while in college, where she began the practice of daily writing in a Florentine marbled paper leather-bound journal. Dana traveled back to Italy throughout the nineties, landing in Rome in '99, where she felt utterly at home. Leaving was difficult, but she returned to NYC to attend culinary school and work her first job in the professional kitchen at famed San Domenico NY, before moving to Rome for most of the next decade. Living in Europe afforded Dana the proximity and flexibility to travel all over Italy, Europe, and far afield to Southeast Asia, South America, and the Middle East. Dana is an entrepreneur and celebrated chef, but her first love has always been putting pen to paper.
